Learning HTML Basics

படம்
INTRODUCTION HTML pages are used for specifying web page content. They contain information and instructions to web browsers that inform them of what to display, and how it should be displayed. It is a simple format, easily learnt, and can support a number of media devices, such as sound, graphic images, and video. HTML documents are ASCII files, and are created using a simple text editor (or an editor like Front Page). With a text editor, you cannot see what the code looks like in the browser, unless you save the page and then load it into the browser for viewing. WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editors like Front Page allow you to view the page as it is constructed in the editor window. One advantage of using a simple text editor is that you have more control over the HTML code; the disadvantage is you must know the code and have a picture in your mind as to what it looks like. Another disadvantage is since HTML is becoming more complex, it is harder to write, and sophi

Are you a good Human Being ?

படம்
AM I really good? This is a question that has always bothered me. I think I am, and I am pretty sure the world I inhabit, on the whole, thinks so too. Basically, a good human being who wouldn’t harm another and if possible, would  go out of my way to help someone. Is that good enough? Or, does one need to apply more stringent, rigid standards? If so, I’m sure I’d win some, lose some. As I go through Gurcharan Das’ latest book, The Difficulty of Being Good, I am even more confused. The book examines the Mahabharata through an analysis of the one predominant characteristic — good or bad — of each of the epic’s characters. What is heartening is that all good characters in the epic seem confused too, at some point or other. Yudhishthira is convinced he cannot declare war against his elders and brothers, but still does so; Arjuna is dead against killing his grandfather, his teacher and an unarmed Karna, and yet does it; Bhishma is goodness personified, but

I would like to tell something about my hometown

படம்
History of Nagercovil              Nagercovil derived its name from a famous old Jain temple called Naga Raja Temple (temple of the serpent king) which still exists in the central part of the town. Nagercovil came under the rule of various kingdoms, notably the Chera, Chola and Pandya kingdoms at various points of time; historical records reveal that these kingdoms fought over the control of the fertile area of Nanjilnadu and Kottar (a town mentioned in old Tamil writings and maps of ancient India). Archaeological records also show Jain influences in ancient times. The modern history of the town is interwoven with the history of Travancore. The modern town of Nagercovil grew around Kottar, now a locality within the municipal limits. The town came into prominence during and after the reign of Maharaja Marthanda Varma, the king of erstwhile Travancore, the capital of which was Padmanabhapuram, about 20 km to the north of Nagercovil. The capital was

My resignation as an adult

படம்
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again. I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks. I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.  I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer's day. I want to return to a time when life was simple; When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset. I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good. I want to believe that anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited
